15 Jan Setting up a stretch canvas frame for Arima Basque Gastronomy
At Gigantia we have also carried out large-scale printing projects that have deep history and emotions behind them.
In this project carried out for the restaurant, Arima Basque Gastronomy have put up a stretch canvas over a frame with backlighting that represents the restaurant’s background.
The canvas is a tribute to Joxefa Garmendia, the great-great-grandmother of Nagore, who is the current owner of the Arima Bosque Gastronomy restaurant.
Joxefa was a great lover of cultivation and crop-growing who had to emigrate to Montevideo with her husband. There, they purchased land to grow wheat and corn to sell at the local markets.
Josexa represented the heart, the roots, the traditions and the audacity that has been passed down through her family from generation to generation.
Nagore has wanted to carry out this large-format printing canvas work to pay tribute to Joxefa and the planet Earth. She can relate to her story as she also lives far away from her family.
At Gigantia, one of our main services is large-format printing and signage design/installation. We have a proven track record with many years of experience in these kinds of projects, which is why we are the experts.
